High Holiday 5786 Registration

Dear Kol Emet Friends,

L’Shana Tova!

As the month of Elul (the final month of 5785) begins, we are pleased to unveil our High Holiday registration.

The full High Holiday schedule is below. Please read this letter carefully, as it contains new and important information.

  • Members: Please be sure you are logged into your Member Portal before starting your registration. Check the upper right hand side of the screen to see if you are logged in.
  • The service schedule includes community sanctuary services upstairs, and a full slate of children’s services and programming downstairs.
  • A high-quality Zoom option will be available for all sanctuary services.
  • We are thrilled to hold services and gatherings in our Outdoor Contemplative Space (OCS), weather permitting of course.

Notes about our High Holiday Offerings:

Erev Rosh haShana Service: We will bring in the New Year with a soulful, musical service led by Rabbi Anna. Held in our outdoor sanctuary, this service has a later start time to allow for holiday dinner with family and friends.
*Rain location: Sanctuary. Zoom option available.

Children's Programming in the Morning: Sue Weiner will lead a participatory and creative service, appropriate for children ages 7-12, in the outdoor sanctuary. Parents, please drop off your child(ren) and go upstairs for the main service in the sanctuary.
*Rain location: Classroom 5/6. In person only.
There will also be babysitting available, concurrent with the main service, for children ages 0-6. A parent/responsible adult must be in the building while a child is in programming.

Abbreviated Family-Friendly Service Options: This year we are pleased to offer a creative and interactive Rosh haShana Musaf Shofar service in our outdoor contemplative space, followed by Tashlich and treats at the Yardley boat launch. For Yom Kippur, the Jonah afternoon service and our concluding Neilah service are designed to be inclusive of families and those who want a shorter and more interactive experience. Lightsticks will be provided for Havdalah! Bring your shofar to all services!

Yom Kippur Afternoon:

Yizkor: We will hold a traditional Yizkor service which will include time to remember and grieve all those we lost on October 7, 2023. Following the service, we will have a more intimate space for those who wish to share memories of loved ones and reflect together.

Compassionate Listening Session: Compassionate Listening is a deep listening tool that allows us to reflect on our emotional and physical response to grief, without interruption. In this session, we will be exploring how our Jewish identity and feelings about being Jewish have shifted or changed as a result of October 7 and its aftermath.

Registration Procedures for Multi-access Services:

  • Registration is required by September 18, 2025, for ALL individuals attending ANY services.
  • Everyone is welcome to register for Zoom and in-person services. Anyone who registers for an in-person service will also automatically be registered for Zoom services. Please register for all the services and activities you wish to attend. Feel free to mix and match virtual and in-person offerings.
  • Kol Emet welcomes guests! Guests may attend in-person services with a member. Guest tickets can be purchased during registration.
  • Our services on Zoom are open to all, though everyone must register to receive a link.
  • For general assistance in registering, or to alter your registration, please contact Kol Emet’s Executive Director, Alexis Miller at 215-493-8522 x113.

Kol Emet Communal Al Chet 5786 Form
Confess your sins anonymously by clicking the link above! Together we'll create a communal confessional, which Rabbi Anna will compile and share at services on the morning of Yom Kippur. There are three categories: sins of love, sins of truth, and sins against the world/God. Please feel free to interpret these categories for yourself. At the end, there will also be an opportunity to share something you are hoping/praying/looking forward to in the year to come. These will be read at the Neilah (Concluding) service on Yom Kippur.
