Dear Kol Emet Friends, L’Shana Tova! As the month of Elul (the final month of 5785) begins, we are pleased to unveil our High Holiday registration. The full High Holiday schedule is below. Please read this letter carefully, as it contains new and important information.
Notes about our High Holiday Offerings: Erev Rosh haShana Service: We will bring in the New Year with a soulful, musical service led by Rabbi Anna. Held in our outdoor sanctuary, this service has a later start time to allow for holiday dinner with family and friends. *Rain location: Sanctuary. Zoom option available. Children's Programming in the Morning: Sue Weiner will lead a participatory and creative service, appropriate for children ages 7-12, in the outdoor sanctuary. Parents, please drop off your child(ren) and go upstairs for the main service in the sanctuary. *Rain location: Classroom 5/6. In person only. There will also be babysitting available, concurrent with the main service, for children ages 0-6. A parent/responsible adult must be in the building while a child is in programming. Abbreviated Family-Friendly Service Options: This year we are pleased to offer a creative and interactive Rosh haShana Musaf Shofar service in our outdoor contemplative space, followed by Tashlich and treats at the Yardley boat launch. For Yom Kippur, the Jonah afternoon service and our concluding Neilah service are designed to be inclusive of families and those who want a shorter and more interactive experience. Lightsticks will be provided for Havdalah! Bring your shofar to all services! Yom Kippur Afternoon: Yizkor: We will hold a traditional Yizkor service which will include time to remember and grieve all those we lost on October 7, 2023. Following the service, we will have a more intimate space for those who wish to share memories of loved ones and reflect together. Compassionate Listening Session: Compassionate Listening is a deep listening tool that allows us to reflect on our emotional and physical response to grief, without interruption. In this session, we will be exploring how our Jewish identity and feelings about being Jewish have shifted or changed as a result of October 7 and its aftermath. Registration Procedures for Multi-access Services:
Thank you all for your help and your patience as we work to make these High Holidays safe and sacred for all. Rabbi Anna Boswell-Levy and Co-Ritual Chairs Robert Moses and Dr. Alan Kotzen

Kol Emet Communal Al Chet 5786 Form Confess your sins anonymously by clicking the link above! Together we'll create a communal confessional, which Rabbi Anna will compile and share at services on the morning of Yom Kippur. There are three categories: sins of love, sins of truth, and sins against the world/God. Please feel free to interpret these categories for yourself. At the end, there will also be an opportunity to share something you are hoping/praying/looking forward to in the year to come. These will be read at the Neilah (Concluding) service on Yom Kippur.
