5786 High Holiday Schedule and Service Descriptions 

Erev Rosh haShana - Monday, September 22, 2025

8pm Erev Rosh haShana Service - We will bring in the New Year with a soulful, musical service led by Rabbi Anna. Held in our outdoor sanctuary, this service has a later start time to allow us to have holiday dinner with family and friends.  Rain location: Sanctuary.  Zoom option available.

 

Rosh haShana Day 1 - Tuesday, September 23, 2025

9:30am Sanctuary Service - Led by Rabbi Anna and the Kol Emet High Holiday choir, this service brings our entire community together as we begin the new year with song, reflection, and the sound of the shofar. Zoom option available.

9:30am Junior Congregation Service - Sue Weiner will lead this participatory and creative service, appropriate for children ages 7-12, in the outdoor sanctuary. Parents, please drop off your child(ren) and go upstairs for the main service in the sanctuary. Rain location: Classroom 5/6. In person only.

9:30am-12:15pm Babysitting - Concurrent with the main service, babysitting will be provided for children ages 0-7. Location: Room 2/3.

2:30pm All Ages Musaf Shofar Service - This creative and interactive Rosh service will be filled with conversation and shofar-blasts.  It will be held in our sanctuary, followed by Tashlich at the Yardley boat launch. Bring your shofar! In person only.

3:30pm All Ages Tashlich - At the Yardley boat launch, followed by treats. Rain Date: September 24 at 3:30pm. In person only.

 

Rosh haShana Day 2 - Wednesday, September 24, 2025

9:30am Sanctuary Service - Led by Rabbi Anna, this service has a more traditional feel, yet includes ample time for reflection and discussion. Zoom option available.

12:15pm Festive Potluck Lunch

Kol Nidre - Wednesday, October 1, 2025

6:15pm Sanctuary Service - Led by Rabbi Anna and the Kol Emet High Holiday choir, this solemn and beautiful service ushers in the holiest day of the year.  We will stand before the open ark to hear the timeless recitation of the Kol Nidre prayer.  Zoom option available.

6:15-8:15pm Babysitting - Concurrent with the main service, appropriate for children up to age 11. Location: Room 2/3.

 

Yom Kippur - Thursday, October 2, 2025

9:30am Sanctuary Service - Led by Rabbi Anna and the Kol Emet High Holiday choir, this service brings our entire community together as we support one another to return to our best and truest selves. Zoom option available.

9:30am Junior Congregation Experience - Sue Weiner will lead this participatory and creative service, appropriate for children ages 7-12, in the outdoor sanctuary. Parents should drop off their child(ren) and go upstairs for the main service in the sanctuary. Rain location: Classroom 5/6. In person only.

9:30am-1:45pm Babysitting - Concurrent with the main service and the Yizkor service, babysitting will be provided for children ages 0-7. Location: Room 2/3.

Yizkor: We will hold a traditional Yizkor service which will include time to ritualize and remember our loved ones, as well as space to grieve all those we lost on October 7, 2023 and as a result of the ongoing war.  Following the service, we will have a more intimate Yizkor Circle for those who wish to share memories of loved ones and reflect together.

1:45pm Yizkor Circle - Following the Yizkor service, we will have a more intimate space for those who wish to share memories of loved ones and reflect together. In person only.

3:00pm Compassionate Listening Session: Compassionate Listening is a deep listening tool that allows us to reflect on our emotional and physical response to grief, without interruption. In this session, led by Debbie Wachspress and Barbara Gronsky, we will focus on how we are coping with living in an increasingly authoritarian age.  Zoom option available.

5pm All Ages Jonah Service - This Yom Kippur, the Jonah service and our concluding Neilah service, both held in the sanctuary, are designed to be inclusive of families and those who want a shorter and more interactive experience

5:45pm All Ages Neilah Service- Bring your shofar! Lightsticks will be provided. Zoom option available.

6:45pm Community Break Fast
